UpfrontPOS provides solutions for grocery stores. As part of its innovation initiative, we built a mobile app so store owners can monitor sales in real time — from live totals to payment-method breakdowns and detailed day reports — and also update product prices directly from the phone.

UpfrontPOS serves grocery retailers with POS and operations tooling. The business needed a faster way for owners and managers to understand what was happening in their stores without waiting for end-of-day reports or sitting in front of a desktop.

The goal of UpfrontPOS Cloud was to deliver a mobile experience that surfaces live sales performance: weekly and monthly comparisons, today’s totals, day-sales visualizations by payment type, and deeper transactional breakdowns — all from a phone. Owners can also adjust product prices from the app when the store needs a quick change without going back to a desktop.

The product is designed around quick decisions on the go. Owners can open the app, pick a store, and immediately see whether the day is tracking up or down, which tenders are driving volume, and how gross/net sales are shaping up — or update a price when something needs to change on the floor.

Features

  • Live store dashboard: Comparative metrics for last week / last month versus current periods, plus today’s sales at a glance.
  • Day sales visualization: Donut charts and filters (cashier, register, department, transaction) to understand how the day breaks down.
  • Payment mix insights: Cash, credit, debit, EBT, WIC, and related tenders with counts and amounts.
  • Detailed sales reports: Taxable vs non-taxable sales, tax collected, gross/net revenue, and adjustments such as bottle returns.
  • In-app price updates: Change product prices from the mobile app so owners can react quickly without depending on a desktop POS terminal.
  • Multi-store context: Store identity in the header so owners can stay oriented when managing more than one location.
